In-Class Visit Program

Writing Centre instructors are available for 50-minute in-class visits during our hours of operation, pending the availability of a writing instructor.

During these sessions, a writing instructor will engage your students in a brief writing workshop related to the course writing assignment and invite them to take advantage of the personalized writing support provided by the Writing Centre.

These visits will help your students:

  • Get started on the writing tasks you’ve assigned
  • Formulate clarifying questions well in advance of the assignment deadline
  • Connection with the Writing Centre’s various writing support services
  • Learn about other learning services available to York students

If you're a Course Director or Tutorial Leader who'd like to request an in-class visit, please complete an In-Class Visit Request Form.
